Automation and orchestration platform AppViewX raises $20M in a Series B round

Seattle-based automation and orchestration platform AppViewX raised $20 million in funding to maximize its go-to-market operations, product development, and overall revenue growth strategies as part of its mission to help Global 2000 organizations reduce risk by securing and orchestrating the enterprise. identities and applications.

Existing backer Brighton Park Capital led the Series A round. Through its automation platform, the startup reduces risk and ensures compliance across many of Fortune’s most demanding organizations in financial services, banking, healthcare, oil and gas, manufacturing, and high-tech. AppViewX automates NetOps, SecOps, and DevOps for Fortune 1000 companies.

AppViewX says it is seeing a significant shift in revenue to its SaaS offerings and currently has best-in-class customer retention rates. Despite the industry-wide challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company says it has nearly doubled its workforce since 2019, strengthening its customer success, engineering, and go-to-market teams around the world.

“Due to digital transformation initiatives and the accelerated transition to the multi-hybrid cloud, the number of machine and application identities has grown exponentially,” said Gregory Webb, CEO of AppViewX.

“To reduce digital risk, organizations recognize the importance of machine identity management but lack advanced certificate lifecycle capabilities from outdated, manual tools and stealth tactics. AppViewX enables organizations to reduce this growing risk with our automation platform that facilitates digital transformation through efficient workflows to prevent downtime and reduce security incidents,” said Gregory.

The startup also announced new strategic hires: Samantha Symonds, as vice president of legal affairs, oversees all legal, corporate governance, and compliance functions. Phil Biegler as Senior Vice President of Customers, acting on behalf of the customer. Bryan Grabowski, as vice president of alliances, supports the company’s GTM strategy.
