Cash runway and burn rate

How many months you can operate before the cash runs out at your current spending.

Salaries, rent, tools, marketing: everything you spend in a month.
Runway-
Net monthly burn-
Gross monthly burn-
Cash runs out around-

How it's calculated. Net burn is monthly expenses minus monthly revenue. Runway is cash divided by net burn. It assumes revenue and expenses stay flat, so treat it as a planning estimate and recheck it each month.

Break-even calculator

How many units you need to sell each month to cover your costs, or to reach a profit target.

Costs that don't change with sales, like rent and salaries.
Units needed per month-
Revenue needed-
Profit per unit-
Margin per unit-

How it's calculated. Profit per unit (contribution margin) is price minus variable cost. Units needed is (fixed costs + target profit) divided by profit per unit, rounded up to a whole unit.

Equity dilution calculator

See how much of the company you keep after raising a round at a given valuation.

What the company is valued at before the new money goes in.
Your ownership after-
New investors own-
Post-money valuation-
Value of your stake-

How it's calculated. Post-money valuation is pre-money plus the investment. New investors own investment divided by post-money. Everyone who held shares before is diluted by the same proportion, so your new stake is your old stake times (pre-money divided by post-money). This version ignores option pool top-ups and convertible notes, which dilute you further.

Loan EMI calculator

The monthly instalment, total interest, and total cost of a business loan.

Monthly EMI-
Total interest-
Total payment-
Interest as share of payment-

How it's calculated. With monthly rate r (annual rate divided by 12) and n monthly payments, EMI = P × r × (1+r)n ÷ ((1+r)n − 1). At a 0% rate it is simply P ÷ n. Real lenders may add processing fees and round differently, so check the offer letter.
